anybody can edit information IMDB, fyi, so its not exactly a legitimate source for casting news. However, Deadline, the place that originally broke the news, is very credible so I think we can safely assume that Hardy has been cast.
Who will he play? Well....there are 2 possibilities...Black Mask and Hugo Strange....both are characters that would require Hardy's suave that he had in Inception. Both characters like to wear nice clothes and sip nice drinks. And both are just as psychotic as Tom was in The Take.
What's interesting is that Nolan had originally wrote a storyline about the Black Mask into The Dark Knight, but wound up writing him out....so I think he will definitely be in this movie
